Avocado Villas Potable Water System Improvements

Overview

The City of Homestead is undertaking a project to replace aging water mains in the Avocado Villas development, originally built in the 1970s, as part of its ongoing commitment to improving critical infrastructure. Approximately 11,400 linear feet of water mains will be upgraded from 6" to 8" piping to enhance the resilience and reliability of the water distribution system. This upgrade will serve approximately 300 residences, ensuring safer and more dependable potable water service, while also improving public health, fire protection, and sustainability.

Timeline

Project is scheduled to begin in January 2025 and is expected to be completed by August 2025.
