This project is focused on enhancing the basketball courts at Mayor Roscoe Warren Park to provide an upgraded, safe, and enjoyable space for athletes and visitors of all ages. The planned improvements include a complete resurfacing of the basketball courts, ensuring a smooth and durable playing surface. Additionally, new backboards will be installed, along with single breakaway rims designed to enhance performance and safety during gameplay.
The project is fully funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), demonstrating the City’s commitment to enhancing public amenities and elevating the overall park experience for the community. Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2025, with completion anticipated beginning of March 2025.
