Wastewater Treatment Facility Backup Generators
- Scope of Work: Design, permitting and installation of backup generators at the wastewater treatment facility that will keep the facility running during power outages, ensuring that important systems like wastewater processing and pumping are not interrupted. The goal is to keep operations reliable, protect public health, and the environment during emergencies.

Wittkop Park Water Treatment Facility Chlorination Upgrade
- Scope of Work: This project includes the design, permitting, and construction of a new prefabricated chlorine feed building, a secure storage area for gas chlorine cylinders, and a new driveway. The purpose is to improve the reliability and safety of the drinking water disinfection process. The new facility will help ensure that the water treatment plant can continue to provide safe water to the community, even during emergencies.

Homestead Raw Water Well #7
- Scope of Work: This project will design and build a new raw water well at the southeast corner of Harris Field. The well will take water from the Biscayne Aquifer, the City’s main water source, and connect to the existing Harris Field well system with all necessary pipes. The new well will help the Harris Field Water Treatment Plant by providing a backup water source if one of the other two wells stops working. It will also support the Racetrack Water Tower Booster Pump Station by keeping water pressure steady, especially during busy times like NASCAR races. This project will make the water system more reliable and ensure safe water pressure for the community.

Sewer System Evaluation Survey Repairs
- Scope of Work: This project consists of lining the sewer lines in the basins and the wellfields. The repairs (lining of the sewer lines) to the basins will reduce the inflow and infiltration identified during the SSES Cycle 2 that triggers moratoriums.
- Budget: $1,577,647

Pump Station 22 Upgrades
- Scope of Work: This project involves the Phase 3 permanent upgrade of Pump Station 22. The upgrade is designed to modernize the facility and enhance its capacity and reliability to meet current and anticipated future wastewater flows. Temporary bypass pumps, installed under projects CP2355A and CP2355B, are maintaining continuous service and allowing the City’s development moratorium to be lifted during construction. The permanent improvements will include comprehensive mechanical and electrical system upgrades, installation of a new or enhanced emergency generator, and structural enhancements to ensure long-term operational performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. The project will improve the station’s reliability, support continued development in the service area, and ensure the wastewater collection system operates efficiently and sustainably.

Water and Sewer Improvements for Flagler Avenue
- Scope of Work: This project will replace the existing undersized water main to 12-inches or larger and the 8-inch sewer line with a larger 24-inch or larger sewer line along Flagler Avenue, from South Krome Avenue to just south of NE 8th Street (Campbell Drive). The upgrade will increase capacity in the water and wastewater systems to support new development and revitalization within the CRA area.

Water and Sewer Improvements for Krome Avenue
- Scope of Work: This project will replace the existing undersized water main to 12-inches or larger and the 8-inch sewer line with a larger 24-inch or larger sewer line along Krome Avenue, from NE 5th St to SE 8th Street (Lucy St). The upgrade will increase capacity in the water and wastewater systems to support new development and revitalization within the CRA area.

- Scope of Work: The Water & Sewer Master Plan is a forward-thinking viable asset for the City that will identify needs for the infrastructure system improvements, upgrades, maintenance, expansion and pollution control while developing long-term goals to ensure water resource sustainability, public health safety and environmental protection.
