The City of Homestead is enhancing its ability to keep residents, businesses, and community partners informed during emergencies with the launch of Ready Homestead, a new emergency mass notification system powered by Everbridge.
Through the State of Florida’s Alert Florida program, the City of Homestead now has access to a state-of-the-art emergency alert platform designed to deliver real-time notifications directly to residents, businesses, and organizations when threats or urgent situations arise.
Unlike systems focused solely on weather-related events, Ready Homestead is designed to notify the community about all types of emergencies — including natural disasters, hazardous materials incidents, public safety concerns, and other urgent situations.
The City urges everyone to take advantage of this new tool during the peak months of hurricane season. Ready Homestead will help ensure timely information is shared across multiple channels so residents can make informed decisions and stay safe when it matters most.
Residents, businesses, and community organizations are encouraged to sign up for free alerts at homesteadfl.gov/ready or by texting HOMESTEAD to 888777.
