Homestead’s Free Trolley to the National Parks Returns for Special Holiday Service

The holiday season is in full swing, and Homestead invites both locals and visitors to add adventure and natural beauty to their celebrations. The City of Homestead proudly announces the return of its acclaimed Homestead National Parks Trolley with a Special Holiday Service running daily from December 26 to December 31, 2025.

 

This special holiday offering provides an exciting opportunity to experience South Florida’s national treasures during one of the most festive times of the year. The free Homestead National Parks Trolley will operate every day during the holiday period, in addition to its regular weekend season running from January 4 through April 20, 2026. Free Transportation, Mobile App Tour Experience & Free Park Admission

Riders can enjoy:

  • Free transportation to Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, and Homestead Bayfront Park
  • Free park admission for all trolley passengers
  • A new mobile app experience, where riders can download the National Parks Trolley mobile app, activate it during their trip, and enjoy geolocated stories, facts, and historical insights along the route

 

Convenient Boarding Locations

Passengers can board the trolley at:

• Homestead Station – 4 South Krome Avenue, Downtown Homestead
 • Courtyard by Marriott Hotel – Campbell Drive, just east of Exit 2 on Florida’s Turnpike

Start or end your trolley adventure in vibrant Downtown Homestead, where visitors can enjoy dining at local restaurants, strolling through Losner Park, which features the seasonal Discover Homestead Winter Wonderland Outdoor Ice Rink open through January 18, exploring the cutting-edge Homestead Cybrarium, seeing a show at the Seminole Theatre, or catching a movie and entertainment at EVO Entertainment Homestead.

 

Discover Three Unique Destinations

The Holiday Trolley connects riders to:

  • Everglades National Park – Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center
    1. Explore the world-famous Anhinga Trail, home to alligators, turtles, birds, and diverse wildlife.
       On the return trip, riders can enjoy a stop at Robert Is Here, a beloved fruit stand known for its famous milkshakes, tropical fruits, and open-air farm experience.
  • Biscayne National Park – Dante Fascell Visitor Center & Boardwalk
    1. Experience the tranquility of Biscayne Bay, stroll the waterfront, or join the Island Boat Tour (available select Thursdays–Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.).
  • Homestead Bayfront Park
    1. Relax at the scenic atoll beach, enjoy a picnic, or take in ocean views at this Miami-Dade County coastal park located next to Biscayne National Park.

The Homestead National Parks Trolley program is made possible through strong collaboration between the City of Homestead and the National Park Service, expanding public access to two of America’s most unique and treasured national parks.
