Downtown Homestead is set to be transformed into a magical winter wonderland this December with the return of the highly anticipated Holiday in Homestead event. Taking place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm at the enchanting Losner Park, located at 104 North Krome Avenue, this annual celebration promises an unforgettable evening filled with snow, twinkling lights, and a special visit from the one and only Santa Claus.
The highlight of the evening will be the traditional tree lighting ceremony, which will commence at 6 pm and feature a special twist unique to this year's festivities. As the lights illuminate the park, guests will be immersed in the enchanting spirit of the holiday season.
This year's event brings an array of exciting activities for all ages. For the first time, attendees can delight in the thrill of ice skating, adding an extra layer of winter fun alongside the popular sledding activity. The evening will feature an "ugly sweater" red carpet, inviting guests to showcase their most festive and creatively adorned attire. Adding to the festive ambiance, special holiday performances will captivate audiences throughout the evening. In addition, guests will enjoy food trucks, cookie decorating, ornament decorating. story time with the Cybrarium, and photos with Santa.
Additionally, a dedicated "letters to Santa" station equipped with a mailbox directly linked to the North Pole will ensure that children's Christmas wish lists reach their destination. Admission to Holiday in Homestead is free, offering an opportunity for everyone to partake in the festivities.
