Solid Waste is requesting the assistance of all homeowners’ associations and management companies to achieve these goals:
- Garbage cans, recycling cans, and bulky waste piles must be placed at the curb at the end of the driveway no earlier than 6:00 pm the evening before collection and not later than 4:00 am the day of collection. All cans must be removed from the curb by 8:00 pm on the day of collection.
- Garbage cans, recycling cans, and bulky waste piles must be placed at least five feet apart from one another and must be clear from obstacles like bulk waste piles, mailboxes, trees, and cars.
- Parking can only be in designated parking areas, no street parking on pickup day starting at 4:00 am (unless in a designated street parking space).
- Entry Gates need to be in functional operation allowing for entry into the community at all times.
- Some communities have restricted hours for entry – if service cannot be achieved due to an inoperable gate, a return trip fee will be applied to every affected residence and billed to the community.
- The gate timer must have a minimum of 45 seconds for safe vehicle entry.
