The City of Homestead invites the public to its 1st Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Phichol Williams Community Center (951 SW 4th Street, Homestead, FL 33030).
Hosted by the City’s Community Development & Human Services Division, this large-scale event is designed to provide free access to critical health screenings, wellness education, and community resources for residents of all ages.
The Health & Wellness Fair is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to address health disparities to preventive care, particularly in underserved neighborhoods. Attendees will benefit from a wide range of free services, including:
- Cancer Screenings: Prostate, cervical, and colorectal
- Basic Health Screenings: Blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, body fat analysis, and diabetes risk assessments
- Dental Services: Mobile Dental Clinic providing free and comprehensive dental care to low-income, uninsured individuals in Miami-Dade County
- Specialty Screenings: Hepatitis B and C and audiology
- Wellness Education & Resource Tables hosted by local healthcare providers, community organizations, and public agencies
This free, family-friendly event will also feature a walk-up food distribution provided by Farm Share, as well as interactive activities like smoothie bikes, Zumba demonstrations, and family entertainment. Attendees can also enjoy giveaways and take-home informational materials designed to promote healthy lifestyle habits.
Key partners include Aetna, University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center, Baptist Health, the Florida Department of Health, Farm Share, CVS Health, Caring for Miami and Leon Medical Centers.
