Homestead Passport Acceptance Facility
The City of Homestead Passport Acceptance Facility will officially open on October 1, 2025. Conveniently located in the Office of the City Clerk, the facility is designed to make passport services more accessible to Homestead residents. Appointments are required and must be made online.
Hours of Operation
- Monday through Friday
- 9 am to 4 pm, Last Appointment given no later than 3:30pm
- By appointment only through the City’s online scheduler. Click here to make an appointment.
What You’ll Need to Apply
Applicants must bring the following documents:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship: Original U.S. Birth Certificate, previous U.S. passport or Naturalization Certificate (Original Birth Certificate is always required for MINOR applicants)
- Valid Proof of Identity: Driver's license, State issued I.D., official military or government employee identification card
- Two Passport Photos: 2 x 2 inches (Fee: $12.84)
- Cash, Money Order or Credit Card (Fee: $35 for execution fee)
- A Check, Money Order, or Casher's Check payable to U.S. Department of State (for DS-11 application fees) application fees are listed below.

Passports for Minors
Special rules apply when applying for a passport for a child under age 16:
- Both parents/guardians must approve the child’s passport application and be present with the child when applying.
- If one or both parents/guardians cannot be present, additional documentation will be required.
- Passports issued to children under age 16 are valid for 5 years.
